Bees are available during Spring & Summer - date to be confirmed with weather and colony observations (this is so that we provide bees which have maximum colony numbers and resources for the colony).
Our bee colonies are led by an F1 queen raised from our own carefully nurtured stock, which originates from our highly valued breeder queens. We prioritize the cultivation of exceptional genetic lineage in our queens, ensuring meticulous attention to detail at every step of their development. This is what makes an exceptional bee colony. It is all in the genetics!
The bees come as a nucleus colony. Meaning they are on frames with all of the baby brood, pollen and honey they need to get a big head start for the season.
Many beekeepers use queens from our breeding program, which speaks volumes. But when you buy a colony directly from us, you’re getting more than just great genetics. You’re getting a carefully raised hive, headed by a purpose-bred queen selected and nurtured on-site for temperament, productivity, and resilience. These are not emergency splits, not swarms, and not colonies thrown together with purchased queens. They’re the result of focused queen breeding and hands-on care at every step. That’s the difference and it is the result of nearly a decade of dedication by our queen breeder Laura.
These are genuinely bred and raised Italian or Caucasian honey bees. With a queen who was given exceptional attention in the critical growing stage of her life by us, here on the South Coast of NSW. The Queen makes ALL the difference in your beekeeping experience and success.
When your colony is ready we will contact to arrange delivery. We are following all DPI protocols, and are permitted to move and provide bees. All bee colonies will be varroa mite wash checked prior to pick up.
If for any reason you need to cancel your order, we can arrange a refund of $50 only, to insure our labour and equipment costs are covered that have been incurred to set up your colony - being for brand new nuc box, brand new timber foundation frames, breeding work, mated queen raised especially and any varroa treatments.
